Leave it better than you found it

That’s what my grandmother always said about the play room.

Rumney is our playground, and we believe in leaving it a little better than we found it. Pick up a trash bag on your way in, report damaged or worn hardware, and/or donate the the RCA!

Support the RCA:

With deep connection to, and respect for the history of climbing on Rattlesnake Mountain, The RCA plays a pivotal role in shaping the climbing experience at Rumney. The RCA is responsible for the purchase, and subsequent preservation of the land that includes the Meadows, 5.8 Crag, Monsters From The Id, The Prudential, Buffalo Pit, Buffalo Corral, Northwest Territories, Asylum, Very Nice Crack area, Boundary Rock, and part of the Blackjack Boulders. On the ground (or wall) initiatives include bolt and anchor replacement, environmental stewardship, fixed quickdraw replacement, and trail development/maintenance. Since 2022, The RCA has used their decades of experience in climbing stewardship to support individuals, and LCO’s in expanding climbing access throughout central and northern NH, and as far south as Pawtuckaway. For all these reasons, we are grateful for the RCA, and hope you will consider a donation next time you’re in town.
